Maya Prabhu

Executive Director, Philanthropy Services, Coutts Institute

Maya leads Coutts’ philanthropy advisory services. She joined Coutts in 2008 and has over 16 years experience in the field of philanthropy gained in the UK and India. She has worked for leading non profit organisations and in the last 7 years has focussed on advising individuals and families on developing their philanthropy strategy and grantmaking.

Maya began her career with International Development Enterprises India - an award winning non profit with a mission to develop and market appropriate technologies to help small farmers increase their income. She was a member of the Senior Management Team that helped grow and scale IDE India's work and unique approach to development between 1992 and 1999. In the UK, she first worked for netdecisions (a digital consultancy in London) as a business analyst and then joined the Prince's Trust in 2001 where she was responsible for raising significant funds from individuals, families and companies and managing key donor relationships. Maya joined New Philanthropy Capital in London in 2005 where she was responsible for developing its advisory practice and advising individuals and families on their philanthropy strategy and grantmaking.

Maya serves on the Board of a private family foundation. She is a member of the Professionals Advisory Group for the Community Foundation Network for the UK and a member of the Family Firm Institute, USA (FFI), the international body for professional Family Business advisers. She is a member of the judging panel for NESTA’s Innovation in Giving Fund.


Ranjit Khanna

Head of South East Asia and Global NRI, Coutts

Ranjit Khanna is Head of South East Asia and Global NRI at Coutts.

He is based in Singapore and is responsible for driving the growth of Coutts’ South East Asia business as well as the Non-Resident Indian and South Asian business globally. The South East Asia business comprises the Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand private banking teams.

Ranjit has had over 20 years of experience in the banking sector, having spent several years as Managing Director, Private Banking at Bank Sarasin Alpen in Dubai. There, he led the establishment of the onshore private bank India and developed the NRI business in the Gulf. Prior to that, Ranjit also spent 15 years at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore and Dubai, holding a number of senior roles in private banking, investment services and affluent banking.


Sebastian Dovey

Managing Partner, Scorpio Partnership

As managing partner and co-founder of Scorpio Partnership, Sebastian manages the development and execution of strategic recommendations surrounding marketing, business development, M&A and client services in wealth companies.

Sebastian has completed assignments around the globe for private banks, global banks, asset managers, family offices, technology firms, service providers, aggregators and start-up wealth management initiatives. He is also currently involved in creating and building enhanced client experience and education-based solutions for a number of companies. He is a regular commentator on the wealth management industry in the press and television as well as at conferences and academies, and has chaired and presented leading industry events in Asia, Europe, Latin America and the United States.


Colin Day

Vice President, Banking, SunGard

Colin Day is vice president of global banking solutions for SunGard’s Banking business where he works to identify new venture strategies across the banking portfolio. Colin is responsible for the go-to-market strategy of SunGard’s Ambit solution suite for retail, commercial and private banks. With more than 20 years’ experience in the banking sector and his extensive knowledge of the banking industry, Colin ensures that SunGard’s customers get the most out of their core processing applications.

In his current role,Colin is focused on developing best of breed private banking software and wealth management solutions to meet the needs of the burgeoning wealth management industry in Asia. Colin frequently travels across Asia to interact with high net worth individuals and wealth management and private banking service providers to gain deeper insight into the market requirements of firms trying to service the wealth management needs of Asia’s growing population of high net worth individuals.

Colin joined SunGard in 1999 before which he headed the global systems development team within the trading and capital markets back-office at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB). A former banker, Colin is well-versed with how the banking and securities markets operate.


Dominique Boer

Head of Relationship Management, South East Asia, Standard Chartered Private Bank

Dominique Boer is Head of Relationship Management (Market Head), Southeast Asia for The Standard Chartered Private Bank. In this role, she oversees and manages 10 Team Leaders who manage over 80 Relationship Managers.

Prior to this Dominique was Head of Business Development and Strategic Implementation (SEA Private Bank) where she managed strategic implementation for Business Development Programs.

Before this role Dominique was the Regional Centre Head and Head of Priority Banking Singapore, responsible for management of the Bank’s Priority Banking business, Branches and Treasury Specialists.

Dominique has over 20 years of experience in financial services, particularly in Wealth Management and SME Banking. Prior to her career at Standard Chartered, Dominique owned and managed a consulting company that provided strategic and marketing services for SMEs and financial service providers in Australia.


Laurence Lien

Chief Executive Officer, National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre

Laurence Lien is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) and the Community Foundation of Singapore (CFS). Formerly the Director of Governance and Investment at the Ministry of Finance, Laurence served 14 years in the Singapore Administrative Service, rotating through different positions in the Ministries of Community Development, Youth and Sports, Home Affairs and Education.

Actively involved in the non-profit sector, Laurence is Chairman of Lien Foundation, and Deputy Chairman of Caritas Singapore Community Council. He is also the President of the Centre for Non-Profit Leadership, and Board Member of the Lien Centre for Social Innovation at the Singapore Management University. Laurence is currently also a Nominated Member of Parliament and will advocate for the social sector and civil society.


Eli Lenyoun

Founder & Director, Family Wealth Solutions Pte Ltd

Eli William Lenyoun founded Family Wealth Solutions Pte Ltd in 2008. He is also co-founder and director of Sunshine Daughters Limited, Social Enterprise.

His advises business focused families based in Asia by leveraging 35 years of wealth planning experience to achieve family wealth protection and preservation from generation to generation, whilst structuring assets with value in excess of US$ 10 billion.

He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), a member of the Institute of Banking & Finance practice standards committees and Wealth management working Group, FICS and since 2006 is a Lecturer at the Wealth Management Institute, Singapore.

He is a highly experienced leader within private banking with particular emphasis on risk management having enjoyed a career that that started with Coutts & Co in London in 1978. During 30+ years within the industry he has worked at several renowned private banks including Merrill Lynch (Head of International Credit Unit covering Europe, including the Swiss bank, Middle East, On-shore India and Asia Pacific), Coutts, again, this time in Singapore, (Head of International Credit Solutions) and Bank Julius Baer (Head of Credit for UK, Channel Islands & HK). Additionally, he headed the Asia Pacific lending and product governance team at ANZ for both private and retail banking.
