Boston-based Silver Bridge Advisors has hired Julie Hammerman as a client advisor to its San Francisco office, as part of the company’s ongoing expansion in the West Coast.

Hammerman has previously served as assistant VP in the Private Wealth Management Group at Merrill Lynch and as an associate in JP Morgan’s Private Client Group.

She joined the firm this month and reports directly to Martim de Arantes Oliveira, regional director of West Coast operations.

As reported in August, the opening of Silver Bridge’s San Francisco office expanded the company’s presence from solely the East Coast, in Delaware and Massachusetts, to the West Coast as well.

The firm also recently launched a center dedicated to family- and privately-owned businesses, and appointed Dr Cynthia Adams Harrison as managing director, responsible for the launch and oversight. The center works with business-owning families on issues such as growth, succession and family governance.

Founded some 80 years ago, Silver Bridge is an independent wealth management firm with around $2.75 billion in assets under management as of 30 June.
